Long QT diagnosis help

I would like to chat to anyone who's waiting to be diagnosed with Long QT syndrome or who has had problems with an unhelpful Doctor and getting diagnosed.

Firstly I'll tell you about my symptoms from a young age I have suffered faints/blackouts and fast heart rate when stressed, scared, hurt etc and just been told that's normal by my GP who has never referred me for testing.

I have recently been fainting on waking from my sleep this has happened about 8 times in 3 years this is being investigated because I was taken to hospital because of a rapid heart rate and my ECG showed a QT of 447 , I'm now waiting on further tests.

I believe I have LQTs, the ECG and fainting are booth typical symptoms should I go to my GP and tell him what I think and can I ask to be tested for it?

There is also a family history of the same symptoms my mother, sister and daughter suffer with the same faints and were tested for epilepsy the test were clear.
